Systems Engineer – Greater Manchester – Hybrid (3 days in office) - £40,000 - £60,000 DOE

The Company

• Ford & Stanley are currently partnered a technical Consultancy who specialize in Railway Systems and Signalling products.
• Due to growing project demands, they are looking to hire Systems Engineers from safety critical engineering industries.
• Rail experience is not essential for this position

• This is an opportunity for a growing Systems Engineer to transition into a business that are regarded as THE industry leading expert in Solid State Interlocking and Railway Signalling projects/products.
• This role will allow to quickly accelerate your career growth by growing into senior and leadership positions within a quick time frame.
• You will be working with a range of complex and highly specialised products and systems. You will soon become not only become the go to person on these products internally, but become a well known figure in the wider industry for being a subject expert.
• Your involvement in end-to-end projects and the knowledge you will develop will be key to the continued success of the company. This is a long term opportunity that will present you with endless chances for further progression and development

Responsibilities

• Requirements gathering and technical definition of complex engineering solutions
• Work throughout the full system life cycle from defining customer requirements, and developing System Specifications, to reliability, availability, maintenance, safety and system disposal.
• Research and development of new and existing products.
• Stakeholder Management

Candidate Essentials

• Systems Engineering experience in a Safety Critical Engineering environment (Rail, Defense, Automotive, Aerospace, Space, Nuclear etc)
• Bachelors degree in Engineering subject (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automotive, Rail Systems Etc)
• Experience using IBM Doors for Requirements Gathering
• Understanding of Jira
• Technical understanding of hardware and software integration
