Dunbar Education Recruitment Agency is seeking a KS3 Practitioner for our SEN school.

Job Summary

Main Purpose of the Role:
- Offer support for students' educational progress, behaviour, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and provide tailored support to students, particularly those with special educational needs or facing emotional and behavioural challenges.
- Assist in planning, delivering, and evaluating educational schemes under supervision.
- Help develop individual education, behaviour, and risk management plans.
- Implement targeted interventions for individual students or small groups.
- Administer and assess routine assessments.
- Aid in boosting students' confidence, self-esteem, and positive attitudes towards learning.
- Take on administrative duties in designated areas of the provision.
- Support and prepare students for reintegration into mainstream education.
- Collaborate with school staff and other professionals to ensure a smooth transition back to mainstream education.
- Liaise with other support services and external agencies as necessary.
- Act as a link tutor for assigned students.
- Prepare reports and manage paperwork for assigned students.
- Contribute to the efficient operation of the Centre.
- Serve as a behaviour leader who is solution-focused and demonstrates positive regard for students.
- Transport students to and from school using your own vehicle during reintegration.
- Be open to change and adaptable to new challenges.

- Ability to support learners with special educational needs and behavioural challenges.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to handle administrative responsibilities.
- Experience working with educational professionals and external agencies.
- Capable of fostering positive relationships and creating an encouraging learning environment.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances and needs.
