Project Engineer – £450 - £600 per day (INSIDE IR35) – 6 months initially – Sheffield

Ford & Stanley Interim are currently partnered with a specialist design, build and manufacturing consultancy responsible for a number of world first projects.

Our client has several highly confidential and security sensitive Aerospace & Defence projects and due to this we require a well-seasoned Project Engineer.

As a Project Engineer, you will be the crucial link connecting design, engineering, suppliers, and clients. You’ll work hand-in-hand with cross-functional teams to ensure that every aspect of their projects runs like a well-oiled machine, from concept to installation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive Collaboration: Work with mechanical, electrical, electronics and software engineers to align project objectives.
• Project Coordination: Oversee schedules, tasks, and resources across departments to ensure smooth execution.
• Client & Supplier Liaison: Be a key point of contact for clients and suppliers, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Seamless Execution: Keep every cog in the system running smoothly, solving challenges before they become obstacles.

Essential Criteria:

• Solid Engineering Background: A strong understanding of engineering principles (mechanical, electrical, software) is essential.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the specific technologies and materials used such as cranes, lifting systems, AND/OR bespoke mechanical solutions.
• CAD & Design Software: Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other technical tools used for designing and managing engineering projects.
• SC Clearance: Currently hold or ability to gain full SC Clearance
• Problem-Solving Ability: The capacity to troubleshoot technical issues, analyze complex systems, and provide innovative solutions.
