We are currently looking for a Senior Roofing Designer to join a market-leading specialist subcontractor working on medium to large sized contracts across the UK.

The company have been operating for over 30 years. They have a wide and varied client base and a long pipeline of work for the coming year ahead.

The ideal candidate will proactively deliver appropriate and completed designs on time and to agreed cost. Ensure materials are accurately scheduled to meet the programme requirements of the projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to develop roofing designs that meet project requirements.
  • Create detailed drawings and specifications for roofing systems.
  • Conduct site visits to assess existing roof conditions and gather necessary information for design.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in roofing design.
  • Ensure that all designs comply with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Work closely with project managers and construction teams to ensure successful implementation of roofing designs.

Qualifications:

  • (Desired) Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in roofing design
  • Proficiency in CAD/ Revit /Inventor / Sketchup software and other design tools
  • Strong knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and systems
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
