Panel Adviser Fostering - Part Time

  • £45 per hourly rate

Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council are looking for a part time Panel Adviser.

  • 3 days a week – Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, Candidate must be onsite for 2 weeks initially for induction and then 1 day per week WFH after that.

The priorities of the role:

  • A focus on QA of Panel papers to ensure the Foster Panel can proceed with the business and progress to ADM.
  • Ensuring the Panel membership is compliant and that there is a stable membership group in order that the Panel can grow and develop together
  • Putting in place a training plan for the Panel and the Fostering Service to undertake joint training
  • Providing a weekly clinic for Fostering Staff to receive advice and support with writing and preparing reports
  • Set up a fortnightly Panel Matters meeting with TM's from Fostering Service and Fostering Reviewing Officers to review ADM decisions/actions to follow up, look at themes and patterns.
