Salary/Rate:
£23,000 - £28,000/annum Pension, Free parking, company events

DNA Recruitment Solutions are recruiting for a Dispatch Operative to join our client's team in Hull. This is a permanent position that would suit someone with freight forwarding or dispatch experience. You will support the day to day operation by liaising with third party suppliers and drivers as well as dealing with internal and external enquiries while maintaining optimal service levels and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Communiacate effectively internally and externally to ensure delivery and loading deadlines are met
  • Keep relevant systems up to date and inform all parties of changes
  • Deal with operational issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Understand 3rd party requirements and allocate work cost effectively
  • Monitor deliveries and shipments in and out and escalate anomolies appropriately
  • Maintain operational effectiveness by planning space and communicating requirements promptly
  • Liaise with all relevant departments and internal and external stakeholders to meet all requirements and budgets
  • Monitor and highlight increases/decreases in volume
  • Monitor stock and storage levels against target levels and manage accordingly, finding cost effective solutions
  • Complete all relevant admin daily
  • Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures
  • Actively seek ways to improve environmental impact

Requirements

  • Experience in a similar role in the Transport /Logistics industry
  • Experience of working with service partners and 3PL
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Desire to build professional relationships internally and externally
  • Able to retain information and learn - willing to develop and progress
  • Strong IT and admin skills
  • Attention to detail, high standards
  • Planned and organised
  • Solutions focused, meets deadlines and prioritises effectively while working at pace and under pressure
  • Team player, able to work on own initiative
  • Resilience, able to adapt to market changes and customer demand
