Principal Electrical Engineer

I am currently looking to speak with an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer who has experience working with oil / gas / hydrogen projects to join a client based in Hampshire. 

Key Responsibilities

      Serve as the lead engineer on company projects and studies, overseeing the engineering of electrical systems according to specified procedures and plans.

Supervise design team activities as needed to ensure completion meets technical standards and project timelines.

Conduct short-term visits to various operating sites and Eni's regional offices worldwide to support project needs.

Coordinate and expedite discipline-specific and multidisciplinary interfaces within areas of responsibility.

Prepare man-hour estimates and plan activities for proposals and ongoing projects as required.

Critically review and assess the suitability and accuracy technical standards and procedures, developing new standards when necessary.

Stay informed about new or modified legislation and evaluate its impact on plant design and performance.

Ensure that all necessary activities are performed to guarantee the design and operation of a safe plan

Minimum Requirements

      Extensive experience in technical and team leadership within a project environment in the Oil and Gas industry, either as a contractor or oil company personnel.

Preferred experience in Upstream Engineering.

Strong technical competence in all aspects of electrical engineering, including power generation, distribution, and transmission.

Experience in various project phases, including Concept, Basic/FEED, and Detail Engineering, for both onshore and offshore Oil & Gas projects.
