A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Health & Safety Manager to join an established and successful food manufacturing organisation based in North Yorkshire.  Reporting into the Operations Director this is a permanent position offering  highly competitive salary and excellent benefits

 
 

As the Health & Safety Manager, you will be responsible for:

 

  • Developing & maintaining the H&S management system
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures
  • Taking ownership for the Health & Safety improvement plan
  • Establishing relationships with external stakeholders and working closely with internal customers
  • Involvement in departmental continuous improvement system 
 

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a similar role within a manufacturing environment and it would be an advantage to come from the food sector. You must have an understanding of continuous improvement methods and be able to achieve results without direct authority.  A Certified Health & Safety professional qualification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is highly desirable. You should also have strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels. The role would suit someone who comes from working in an FMCG environment in a Health & Safety leadership position H

 

 

This role offers a salary £48,000 - £58,000 depending on experience,great benefits and the business is commutable from  Malton, Guisborough, Pickering, Scarborough, Stokesley and surrounding areas.
