We are seeking a Planning Administrator to join our established company that supports the Aerospace, Medical, and Automotive sectors. Location / Hours: This is a full-time position located near Newry, Ireland, with standard hours from Monday to Friday.
Hours: 40 hours per week, typically 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Monday to Friday). Some overtime may be required.



Main Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Act as the first point of contact for relevant departments, providing support in resolving any planning and production-related queries.
  • Collaborate with the Production Manager to ensure the production plan is optimized, maximizing the use of labour and equipment based on customer needs.
  • Plan and organize production workflow for multiple products, ensuring efficient and timely completion.
  • Regularly liaise with the production team to identify and communicate any risks to the schedule as early as possible.
  • Present detailed information on forecasted plans, highlighting trends or problem areas to improve production efficiency.
  • Monitor and maintain material supply levels to meet production requirements.
  • Ensure that relevant areas have a prioritized daily workload.
  • Work closely with engineering and quality departments to address concerns proactively and promptly.
  • Perform other duties as required within your skill set and capabilities.


Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a planning or production support role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with different departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, to manage and present production data.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks to production schedules.


Desirable Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a regulated industry such as aerospace, automotive, or medical manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling tools.
  • Experience working closely with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve production challenges.
