Our client is a 24/7 high availability environment, working within a fast paced data streaming industry. This is an exciting opportunity to support the business as they look to level up their application estate, hosted in Azure. 
 
As the Lead Cloud SysOps Engineer, you will sit within the Operations team, providing support through monitoring and alerting applications and cloud-based infrastructure. You will act as a Lead to a small team of Cloud SysOps Engineers, ensuring you are driving the team forward to keep them on track with BAU and project work. 
 
This team hold 3rd line technical capabilities, as the Lead, you will be supporting the team with any escalations whilst remaining in a hands-on capacity. You will have chance to take responsibility to drive forward new ideas and improve current technical environments by adding value.
 
Working closely with the in-house Development team, yourself and the team will play a part in Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT) and provide clear feedback, you will also contribute to the service acceptance when new product releases are ready for go-live. 
 
About you, the Lead Cloud SysOps Engineer –
  • Experience acting Senior/Lead within a team, coaching and mentoring colleagues
  • Application/Platform experience
  • Supporting users up to 3rd line 
Desirable –
  • Cloud experience
  • Experience supporting Java based applications 
  • Linux experience - Red Hat 
  • Message brokers - Apache
Hybrid working – 2x days office-based, 3x days working remotely
Office location – Milton Keynes
 
Salary up to £55,000 + benefits
Please note this position involves an on-call rota for any priority issues which will financially increase your annual take home*
