A fantastic opportunity to join a major contractor on site at Hinkley Point C in Somerset, the first new generation nuclear plant to be built in the UK. Abatec is recruiting an experienced Site Agent to join a tier one Civil Engineering contractor on a permanent basis. My client has been involved in this iconic project for 10 year and will remain on site delivering essential Civil Engineering works for many years to come.  

My client is happy to accept applications from candidates who do not live local to the project and will pay accommodation subsistence.

As Site Agent you will:

• Join a project management team responsible for delivering multi-million-pound scheme involving infrastructure, drainage, services, enabling works, security fencing and BoP (Balance of Plant)
• Checking and preparing site reports, keeping up to date safety standards.
• Supervise, oversee, and keep track of the projects progress ensuring construction meets with clients. specifications and requirements.
• Meet regularly with senior management, providing programme and progress reports.

Our client requires a Site Agent with:

• HNC/Degree or in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Experience within the Civil Engineering sector
• SMSTS, CSCS Managers card, First Aid at Work
• Ability to lead from the front and deliver teams to tight deadlines and to the necessary standards of quality

Salary/Benefits:

• £55,000 to £65,000 per annum
• £6,700 car allowance
• 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)
• £9,000 accommodation subsistence (dependent on your proximity to the project
• Up to 8% salary enhancement (dependent on your proximity to the project)
• Other benefits include company pension scheme, private healthcare, life assurance, share-save scheme, holiday purchase scheme.
