Job Title:     Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer

Location:     Sheffield (potential for Hybrid)

Salary:         £45,000 to £50,000 DOE

We're seeking an innovative Design Engineer to join our client’s forward-thinking team. This role offers a unique opportunity for a Design Engineer to take ownership of projects from inception through operation.

Key Responsibilities for the Design Engineer:

• Design and implement low carbon energy systems
• Produce detailed drawings, reports, and specifications
• Evaluate existing building energy systems
• Conduct on-site evaluations during construction
• Perform post-construction assessment
• Collaborate with multi-professional teams

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical, Building Services, or Energy Engineering
• 3-5 years’ experience as a Design Engineer in building services
• Strong understanding of heat transfer and fluid mechanics
• Experience in mechanical services design for multi-apartment buildings
• Knowledge of energy centre mechanical services
• Experience with low carbon energy sources
• Understanding of energy legislation and compliance
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Procore
• Excellent communication skills
