Sales Director - Engineering EPC Services for PetroChemical, Energy, Oil & Gas Sectors


Our client, a leading provider of engineering services to the Petrochemical, Energy, Oil & Gas sector in the UK, is seeking an experienced Sales Director with expertise in P&L management, strategy development, project delivery and commissioning within this industry, to be based out of their Brimingham Head Office.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of sales success, multi-million-pound project delivery, and leadership skills. As Sales Director, you will be responsible for developing and delivering sales strategies, supporting the Group profit and loss (P&L) responsibility, leading business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of projects from design through commissioning.


Key Responsibilities of Sales Director

As Sales Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing sales strategies that drive growth and profitability across the business
  • Suppporting overall profit and loss (P&L) responsibility, ensuring budgets are met and exceeded where possible
  • Leading business development efforts by identifying new opportunities in the market and driving growth through a proactive sales approach
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of projects from design through commissioning, ensuring excellent HSSE standards and customer satisfaction.


Qualifications & Experience Required for Sales Director Role

The ideal Sales Director should possess strong experience or qualifications related to:

  • Engineering: Degree qualified or equivalent professional qualification, with a strong understanding of the Petrochemical, Oil & Gas sector.
  • Project Delivery: Proven track record delivering multi-million-pound EPC Projects within budget/timeline constraints while maintaining excellent HSSE standards.
  • Sales Management Experience: Demonstrated success selling technical solutions/services into petrochemical/oil/gas sectors at senior/executive level including winning contracts valued over £5-£25m p.a..
  • Strategy Development: Ability to create innovative business models/sales plans which transform performance across multiple regions/customers/markets
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills motivating people towards shared goals/objectives/results focused mentality.
