This is a great opportunity to join a forward-thinking Tier 1 contractor who has a turnover of over £500m and specialise in high rise residential developments, student accommodation and large scale infrastructure with projects valued in excess of £150m.

They have delivered some of the most exciting developments across the North West and due to their success and growth they are now looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Manchester.

The role - Assistant Quantity Surveyor

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will be a key part of the team and will support the Quantity Surveyor and Senior Quantity Surveyor with a number of duties as well as being responsible for a number of packages on your own as well.

The initial project is a large £40m high rise development in the city centre which consists of 18 stories, commercial units on the bottom and a sub-basement car park and you will be responsible for the following duties (Including but not limited to):

• Assisting in the preparation and valuation of progress and submission to client.
• Sub-contract procurement including sending out enquiries, collating prices, negotiation, order placement.
• Sub-contract valuations and payments in connection with any contract.
• Assisting with the preparation of internal cost reporting measures.
• Maintaining quality control procedures.
• Undertaking all tasks in a timely fashion and as required by management.
• Ensure cash flow is maximized.
