The ERP Planner is responsible for end-to-end planning within a manufacturing environment. From creating/approving routings & structures (BOMs), scheduling shop orders, right through to receipting the finished product. Working closely with other departments including production and purchasing to ensure that materials are available, and schedules are met. This role is also key to maintaining MRP accuracy, through accurate planning data, and use of MRP exception reporting. 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide Functional and transactional ERP system support to the Business
  • Material Availability Planning
  • Creating and Controlling Shop Orders
  • Controlling documents and revisions in production
  • Maintaining & Creating MRP Planning Data Scheduling
  • Production Reporting
  • Monitor and respond to phone, email, and Teams regarding queries

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience of MRP and ERP systems, use of IFS is desirable.
  • Strong MRP knowledge
  • Planning & Scheduling
  • Training/Experience in Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous/preferred.
  • Experience of working with supply chain.
  • Able to identify and resolve problems using MRP actions.
  • PC literate - capable user of MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:

  • Excellent communicator, collaborator, and coordinator.
  • High level reporting and data interrogation capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple projects/objectives effectively.
  • Professional presentation and communication skills when presenting to Leadership
  • Strong organisation, planning, and action plan execution capabilities.
  • Ability to resolve problems using structured techniques.
  • A capable Planner with a ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to support the business needs.
  • Effective communicator
  • Proven problem analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt and respond effectively to changes
