The responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer (CAD/CAM – Turning) are as follows:
- Develop and create CNC programs using EdgeCAM for turning operations.
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines with Fanuc controllers.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure that machining processes are optimized for quality and efficiency.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to determine machining requirements.
- Select appropriate tools, materials, and cutting parameters for various turning operations.
- Continuously improve machining processes, reducing cycle times and improving overall productivity.
- Collaborate with design engineers to resolve manufacturing challenges and improve part manufacturability.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures.
- Provide technical support and training to machine operators as required.
The successful Manufacturing Engineer (CAD/CAM – Turning) will have the following skills/experience:
- Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or CNC Programmer with a focus on turning operations.
- Proficient in EdgeCAM and Fanuc controllers.
- Strong knowledge of CNC turning processes, tooling, and material selection.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD models.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
