Are you a highly skilled and motivated Technical Superintendent, Vessel Manager, Chief Engineer or Vessel Superintendent that can manage and oversee the assigned offshore assets, looking to work in a technical role working on cutting edge global projects within a multi-million turnover marine company who offer a great working environment and ongoing opportunities for progression?

The successful candidate will ensure that all owned and managed vessels are operated efficiently, remain seaworthy, and comply with all relevant legislation and class requirements. You will be responsible for driving onboard team performance through senior officers, ensuring the highest standards of safety, vessel management, and crew performance.

This company operate within the offshore PSV and ERRV industry and operates the largest wholly UK-owned fleet engaged in supporting the UK's offshore Oil & Gas and offshore wind markets.

This dynamic role would suit a Engineer from a marine background looking for an exciting and varied role within a well-established yet growing company where you will work on cutting edge projects and can increase your earnings through a bonus.

The Role:

  • Ensure all shipboard mechanical, electrical, and navigational systems are operated and maintained safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with SOLAS, IMO, Class & Flag administration regulations, and environmental legislation.
  • Review and monitor vessel condition via electronic Engine Room Log sheets.
  • Work closely with the Special Projects/Docking function to ensure timely completion of dry dock specifications and related orders.
  • Maintain and update Planned Maintenance, Purchasing, and Defect Reporting systems both onboard and in-office.
  • Manage vessel port calls, ensuring timely completion of all scheduled work and comprehensive reporting.
  • Monitor and engage with senior ship officers to address and resolve any performance issues.


The Person:

  • Sea Going Chief Engineer, or equivalent, with relevant offshore support experience
  • Experience in a similar role preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in marine engineering, naval architecture, or a related field
  • Extensive experience in offshore vessel management, with a strong understanding of maritime legislation, SOLAS, IMO, Class & Flag regulations
