My client, a leading housing organisation in the Northeast of England, are looking for short term cover for a Clerk of Works to join their ever-expanding team.

Working in Asset Delivery, the Clerk of Works will carry out effective technical support in relation to the management of contractors delivering planned investment work to the organisations homes.

The Clerk of works will be the first line of contact in dealing with customer queries, on-site contractor performance and quality management issues.

Duties of the Clerk of Works:

  • Managing contractors to deliver investment schemes to the required time, cost, and quality standards
  • Ensure the work carried out is compliant with specification, scope, building regulations and agreed standards
  • Play a key part in supporting the consultation and engagement with customers, leaseholders and other key stakeholders including Housing
  • Clerk of works, Inspections, Contract Admin
  • Out on sites checking quality, engaging with Customers and interacting with Contractors while ensuring the work being carried out complies with standards

Requirements of the Clerk of Works:

  • ONC/HNC in construction or equivalent or considerable, relevant, and demonstrable experience
  • Experience in undertaking work in progress and post inspections of work, ensuring compliance with specification, scope, and regulations
  • A Full UK Driving License
