Gas Engineer | Commercial & Domestic Roles | Light Commercial Environments | OTE: £45,000 - £65,000 per annum | Reading | Travel Time Pay Scheme (detailed below) | Weekly Pay | Company Van + Fuel Card & Employment Package.

Due to a new contract and existing contract expansion, we are seeking both Domestic Gas Engineers and Commercial Gas Engineers to join our growing team! You will be working across a range of light commercial environments (ie: pubs, restaurants, retail stores, supermarkets, care homes, nurseries etc), carrying out servicing, breakdowns and minor installations.

Domestic Engineer Earnings: £17.75 per hour. Commercial change-over company funded to Commercial Gas Engineer after 3 month probation.

• 45 hour week (standard): £41,500
• 50 hour week: £49,000
• 55 hour week: £57,000

Commercial Engineer Earnings: £19.70 per hour.

• 45 hour week (standard): £46,000
• 50 hour week: £55,000
• 55 hour week: £63,000

• Standard basic hours: 07:00am - 5:30pm including travel time. (Site Hours estimated 08:00am - 4:30pm)
• Locations: Reading and Surrounding areas (within 60/90 minute radius of home address)
• Travel time: D2D (Door to Door) Pay minus 30 minutes each way.
• Overtime Rates: x2 rate.
• Call Out Rota: Standby 1 in 4 weeks: £1,300 per year standby allowance + D2D travel at overtime rates if called out.

• Training and progression opportunities: company will put you through varied gas / hvac courses ie: Commercial change over, comcat, lpg, oil, F-Gas after 3 months of employment, this will also increase your hourly rate of pay once completed.

Duties:

• Landlord Safety Certificates, Servicing and breakdowns on boiler systems, installations of boilers and gas fired water systems, installation, replacements, servicing and repair of heat pumps, working on a variety of systems and boiler manufacturers, providing detailed remedial repair reports with information of replacement component parts, working with vented and unvented hot water cylinders, working on heating controls such as S-Plan, Y-Plan, replacing all component parts such as Gas Valves, PCB’s, TRV’s, zonal heating valves etc.
• Updating company CAFM system, ie: logging in/out of jobs, providing detailed job notes/updates of works etc.
• Adhering to health and safety / compliance policies.
• Updating the office on availability.
• Liaising with clients as and when needed in a client facing role.

Requirements:

• Domestic Gas Safe Certificates: CCN1 (rate: £17.75 per hour)
• Commercial Gas Safe Certificates: COCN1 OR CODNCO1 OR Commercial Changeover (rate: £19.70 per hour)
• Additional tickets would great you a hire rate of £20.90 per hour, ie: Comcat, Oil, LPG etc.
• Experience carrying out maintenance and minor installations in commercial / light commercial environments.
• Able to legally work and drive in the UK.
