Job Summary

Are you a qualified Teaching Assistant?

We require a Teaching Assistant / Early Years Practitioner to work in a busy foundation stage unit in a beautiful rual school between Penrith and Carlisle.

The position will start in early September and be required until the end of the academic year in a local Primary school.

We are looking to recruit confident Teaching Assistants who hold at least a Level 2 Qualification in Teaching Assistant or equivalent. The role is a full-time position, but the school can be flexible for the right candidate.

The role is to work within the a EYFS / Reception Class supporting and working alongside the class teacher and another TA providing the children with an educational, fun filled day.
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team and support educational activities in a school setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and possess the necessary skills to assist in providing quality education.

Duties
- Mentoring and supporting students in their learning journey
- Assisting teachers in implementing educational plans
- Working with children with special educational needs, including autism
- Educating and communicating effectively with students
- Providing one-to-one tutoring where necessary

Experience
- Experience working with children is essential
- Previous experience in special education is advantageous
- Ability to engage and support students effectively
- Strong communication skills to interact with both students and teachers

  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant (or equivalent) Qualification
  • Diploma or Degree in an Education based subject.

  • If you have experience of assisting in group or 1:1 situation.

· Experience working within a school setting..

· Clear understanding of the early years curriculum 

· Support pupils with behaviour issues

· Support pupils with Social, emotional and mental health difficulties, sensory and physical needs.

· Capable of aspiring pupils to achieve outstanding results.

· Help to create a safe striving learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
