Are you passionate about using art to unlock creativity, build self-esteem, and make a real impact on the lives of young people?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Art Teacher to join our dynamic team at [School/PRU name], a specialist SEMH Pupil Referral Unit. You will be working with Key Stage 4 and 5 students who face significant social, emotional, and mental health challenges, providing them with a safe and supportive environment to explore their creative potential.

About the Role:

Deliver engaging and therapeutic art lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students.
Use art as a tool for expression, building confidence, and fostering emotional resilience.
Manage a creative and inclusive classroom environment, while addressing the challenges of behaviour management.
Work closely with the wider staff team, including SEN specialists, pastoral care, and external agencies, to provide holistic support for each student.
Inspire students to gain qualifications in Art & Design, and nurture their talents through projects that reflect their personal growth and development.
What We're Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
Experience working with SEMH students or in a PRU setting is highly desirable.
Strong subject knowledge in Art & Design, with the ability to deliver across KS4 and KS5.
A creative and flexible approach to teaching, adapting to the emotional and behavioural needs of the students.
Patience, empathy, and a commitment to helping students overcome barriers to learning.
