About the Role:
A college in Durham is seeking a dedicated Full-Time SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our team. The role involves supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and requires experience with personal care.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to SEN students, including personal care
  • Assist in the classroom and during learning activities
  • Help with daily routines and personal care needs
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure students’ needs are met
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback as needed
Requirements:
  • Experience in personal care is essential
  • Previous experience working with SEN students is highly desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting students
