Sales Engineer / Applications Engineer  / Project Engineer required to join a global electrical engineering manufacturer.

The successful Sales Engineer / Applications Engineer  / Project Engineer shall work fully remote,  visiting customers across the West of the UK - Manchester down to Cornwall. You will build and maintain a strong pipeline range of project opportunities, both directly with Consultants, Contractors, and indirectly via panel builders / distributors, carefully tracking each opportunity until the order is placed, aiming to meet or exceed the annual area sales target.

The successful Sales Engineer / Applications Engineer  / Technical Sales Engineer will ideally have technical sales and applications experience within electrical engineer such as  switchgear, power distribution, power electrics, power monitoring or similar electrical engineering products. Full product training provided.

• Negotiating a project with the Project Manager to agree final direct pricing within agreed timescale and budgets.
• Meeting local panel builders to discuss current pipeline projects involving electrical switchgear and metering products.
• Technical product and application support to customers and the sales team.
• Responsible with supporting the organization with technical electrical switchgear and metering product, market and application knowledge.
• Specification, promoting and generating new business opportunities via end user channels.
• Liaise with various engineering departments 
• Fully remote, travelling to customer sites across the West of the UK - Manchester down to Cornwall.

Sales Engineer / Applications Engineer  / Project Engineer Requirements

• Experience as an Applications Engineer, Proposals Engineer, Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Engineer, Project Engineer, Service Sales Engineer, Documentation Engineer or similar within electrical engineering..
• Knowledge of key contractors, consultants and panel builders and their routes to market
• Experience as an Applications Engineer, Proposals Engineer, Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Engineer, Project Engineer, Service Sales Engineer, Documentation Engineer or similar within electrical engineering or manufacturing.
• Applications or technical sales background within switchgear, power distribution, power electrics, power monitoring or similar electrical engineering products.
• Electrical or electronic engineering degree would be advantageous.
• Sales Engineers or switchgear Service Engineers looking for a step up in to an Applications Engineer role would also be of huge interest.
• Full UK driving licence, Willing to travel to customer sites daily across across the West of the UK - Manchester down to Cornwall. and stay away for training when required.
