Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are currently recruiting:

We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer for a permanent position in Rotherham.

Salary is £45,000 per annum.

The main function of this role will be designing and testing electrical control panels.

Training will be given in commissioning and writing PLC software.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake all work activities safely, ensuring compliance with all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • To always act in a professional manner to develop designs which are aligned with the principles, strategy and goals of the business and expectations of the customer.
  • Work to timescales with a production system to allow projects to complete to plan.
  • To review requirements documentation for each contract as it arises, ensuring that objectives and technical specifications are clearly defined and understood.
  • Generate electrical schematics, bills of material and production documents.
  • Where necessary, compile training manuals and facilitate Customer training session.

Ideally the successful candidate will:

  • Have an understanding of PLC's and control systems.
  • Have experience or understanding of defining and developing electrical systems for bespoke equipment.

Experience with E-Plan is desirable but experience with AutoCAD is essential.
