Trade Counter Assistant
- £26k - £28k (DOE)
- Mon – Fri – 7.30am – 5 and 3 Saturdays per month 7.30 – 12pm
- Varied role working with a well-established business
On behalf of our client, we are recruiting for a Trade Counter Assistant to join their busy team in Huddersfield. They provide the best quality timber locally since 1908 and provide a professional service for both commercial and private individuals throughout the UK.
Due to their continued success, they are looking to expand their team.
You will be communicating with clients, serving customers trade and retail stock, monitoring / dealing with cash and card payments. Please note that some physical lifting will be involved
Key Skills and Experience
- Develop an excellent working knowledge of the company’s products
- Excellent computer skills and the ability to understand loading products onto websites and ebay and other social forums would be an advantage
- Commit to and take responsibility for continued personal development.
- Organised and have strong time management skills.
- Sales experience
- Experience within the timber sector is an advantage
- Excellent communication skills with a professional telephone manner.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience on a trade counter would be an advantage
The successful candidate will have a self-motivated attitude with a drive to succeed, an ambitious and creative outlook and a positive attitude and energy.
