Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Alexander Steele is recruiting an electrically bias maintenance engineer for a leading food manufacturing business based in Oxfordshire. The successful candidate will play an integral part of the engineering team responsible for maintaining and optimising food production machinery and processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair work on a wide range of production equipment, including conveyors and packaging machines.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues to minimise downtime and production interruptions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, safety, and product quality.
  • The successful candidate must be familiar with process machinery or equivalent equipment.

Background Experience:

  • HNC, HND or degree in Electrical, or related engineering field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role within a food manufacturing or processing environment.
  • Strong understanding of PLC systems
  • Excellent ability to communicate with stakeholders across various levels.
  • Strong organisational skills and an exceptional attention to detail.
