About the Senior Insolvency Administrator Role

Our client is a leading insolvency practice, backed by a prominent private equity firm, enabling them to strengthen their expertise and geographical presence through strategic acquisitions. The firm has built a strong reputation in the commercial insolvency sector and is expanding into personal insolvency and Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVAs). Role Overview for the Senior Insolvency Administrator:
We are seeking a Senior Insolvency Administrator to join our client’s Manchester City Centre office. The role will involve overseeing a portfolio of complex insolvency cases, providing leadership and guidance to junior staff, and ensuring cases progress efficiently and in compliance with statutory requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Insolvency Administrator looking to take on more responsibility and advance their career within a dynamic, forward-thinking firm.

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Insolvency Administrator:
  • Managing a varied portfolio of corporate and personal insolvency cases, including liquidations, administrations, bankruptcies, and IVAs.
  • Leading case administration and ensuring that all statutory requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Drafting complex reports, statutory documents, and detailed communications for creditors, debtors, and other stakeholders.
  • Providing guidance and mentoring to junior staff members, reviewing their work, and supporting their professional development.
  • Liaising with clients, creditors, and other professionals to resolve complex queries and ensure cases progress smoothly.
  • Preparing detailed financial documents, including statements of affairs, financial reports, and asset schedules, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinating the realisation of assets and distribution of funds to creditors in line with legal and statutory guidelines.
  • Monitoring and managing the progression of cases from start to closure, ensuring effective resolution and timely case completions.
Key Requirements for the Senior Insolvency Administrator:
  • Relevant qualifications such as ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant), or Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency (CPI) are highly desirable.
  • Substantial experience in insolvency administration, with a proven track record of managing complex cases.
  • Comprehensive understanding of UK insolvency legislation and procedures.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise professionally with clients, creditors, and colleagues.
  • A proactive, problem-solving approach with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience mentoring and guiding junior staff members, with a collaborative and supportive leadership style.
  • Competence in using relevant insolvency software and case management systems.
