We have a 6 month temporary position role available with TATA Steel. This role is ideal for someone with Machine operating skills and is familiar with roll forming machinery.

Llanwern Works, situated east of Newport in South Wales, manufactures strip steel for both UK and European markets using its pickle line and cold mill. The site also offers galvanised coating through its ZODIAC line.

Role: Multi Skilled Operator

Location: Llanwern, NP19 4QZ

Rate: £12.64 Per Hour (24,000 PA)

Contract length: 6 Months - potential for a permanent position upon completion 

Shift Patterns: Monday - Thursday: 6am - 2pm.  Fridays 6am-1pm

Responsibilities:

• Operate processing machinery and material handling equipment in a safe and productive manner.

• Recognize product ranges for accurate material selection.
   

• Understand basic maintenance and continuous improvement techniques.
   

• Handle materials, checking stock, labeling, and storing as per requirements.
   

• Contribute to personal and team development, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

Desirable requirements: 

• Experience with Roll Forming, Slitting or blanking machinery

Essential requirements:

• Ability to operate machinery and handle materials.
• Understanding of continuous improvement techniques.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
