  • Direct Debits: Manage monthly direct debit collections, including handling bounced direct debits.
  • Client Communication: Produce client statements, send reminders, and follow up via phone, email, and post to ensure timely payments.
  • Dispute Resolution: Handle more difficult accounts and disputes, setting up negotiation processes to achieve settlements.
  • Reporting: Provide monthly reports on aged debtors and credit control activity to senior management.
  • Bad Debt Management: Manage write-offs, bad debt provisions, and payment plans to minimise financial risk.
  • Credit Checking: Implement and manage a credit-checking process.
  • Responsibility & Accountability: Take full ownership of all credit control and accounts receivable matters.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in end-to-end credit control and accounts receivable processes.
  • Legal Knowledge: Understanding of legal procedures related to credit control and debt collection.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, particularly in challenging customer negotiations.
  • Time Management: Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively under pressure.
  • Proactive & Independent: Able to work independently, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
