SEN English Teacher

Dunbar Education are working with a welcoming and inclusive SEN school dedicated to providing high-quality education and support for students with a range of learning difficulties and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The Role:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated SEN English Teacher to join our team. You will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging English lessons that are tailored to meet the individual needs of our students. The ideal candidate will be someone who can inspire and motivate students with diverse abilities, helping them to build confidence in their literacy skills and develop a love for learning.

Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver differentiated English lessons to students with varying levels of ability, ensuring that each student can access the curriculum at their own pace.
* Implement strategies to support students with learning difficulties, SEMH needs, or other additional needs.
* Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning, engagement, and emotional well-being.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and adapting teaching methods as necessary.
* Work collaboratively with other staff members, parents, and external professionals to support the holistic development of each student.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant SEN teaching qualification.
* Experience working with students with SEN, SEMH, or learning difficulties.
* Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and the ability to differentiate lessons to meet a variety of needs.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* A patient, empathetic, and positive attitude, with a genuine passion for helping students achieve their full potential.
* The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
