A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Support Manager in Newbury.  This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Deputy Support Manager or existing Support Manager to join a well-renowned care company that is one of the area’s leading providers of supported living services for people living with learning disabilities or challenging behaviour.

As the Support Manager you will be in charge of the staff delivering these services, as well as the development and delivery of operational services at a high standard and you will report directly to the Operations Manager.  You will have a strong 'can do' attitude and help build strong links in the community as well as lead the team and support clients to help live life their way.  My client truly values their team and opportunities to work with them do not arise very often.

What will the role involve?

•    Manage, lead, support and develop your team
•    Provide regular supervisions, appraisals and inductions
•    Develop and monitor the implementation of person-centred care through the company’s services
•    Ensure CQC compliance in all aspects of the service
•    Recruitment, training and performance management/support
•    Financial administration, ensuring effective budgeting and staffing
•    Completion of rotas and timesheets
•    Assessment of care plans
•    Provide excellent leadership and management
•    Provide hands on support/on call support when required (additional pay)

The ideal candidate for the supported living manager will hold the following skills/qualifications:
•             Previous management experience within a similar setting
•             Sound knowledge of CQC standards
•             Experience working with residents with learning disabilities/challenging behaviour
•             NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards this
•             Stable working history
•             Driver with access to vehicle
