Are you a qualified teacher looking for a unique opportunity to transform the lives of young people? Prospero Teaching is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated QTS Tutor to provide 1:1 educational support for students in Basildon who are currently outside mainstream education.
The Opportunity:
Working in partnership with local councils and SEND teams, Prospero Teaching offers vital educational support to young people who need it most. This role allows you to step away from the traditional classroom environment and create engaging, tailored lessons for students who may be struggling with confidence, SEN needs, or have been disengaged from education.
Position Details:
- Location: Basildon
- Position: 1:1 Tutor
- Start Date: ASAP
- Hours: Flexible hours from 10 to 30 per week
- Pay: 25-30£ per hour !!!
- Duration: Ongoing
What You Bring:
- Experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
- UK classroom teaching experience
- A creative, patient, and flexible approach to teaching
Requirements:
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate (or willingness to apply for one)
- Two professional child-related references
