Think FE, working in partnership with a Northamptonshire college, is seeking an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant with a kind and caring nature to join their team.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (38 weeks per year)
Salary: £19,947.87 per annum (pro rata to the full-time equivalent of £24,123.00 per annum)

About the Role:
The successful candidate will work alongside skilled tutors in practical lessons such as sports, animal care, and construction. This role requires someone who is physically fit and hands-on, as it involves standing throughout lessons and actively participating in various activities. There may also be opportunities to accompany students on off-campus trips to places like zoos, museums, or local shops as part of a diverse curriculum.

Responsibilities:
  • Support students with their educational needs to ensure they succeed and reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with tutors during practical lessons.
  • Encourage independent learning among students.
  • Participate in outdoor and hands-on classroom environments.
Requirements:
  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above (or equivalent).
  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude towards supporting young people.
  • Experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
  • Ability to clearly explain suitability and motivation for the role in the application.
