Talented Electrical Project Manager required, happy to take the Electrical Project Manager on a permanent or freelance basis

We are working alongside a successful London based building main contractor, with offices in the Victoria area of London. They have recently won several new schemes and are keen to recruit a talented Electrical Project Manager. The contractor specialises in the luxury prime residential market, with clients including Grosvenor Properties, The Historic Houses Association and a who’s who list of famous and wealthy clients. They cover an area around Mayfair, Belgravia, Knightsbridge and the affluent areas of North London, carrying out projects up to £25m in value. The schemes predominately involve structural refurbishments and very expensive finishes. The contractor’s business model is extremely well managed, with a reputation for producing a quality project on time and budget, which results in a large amount of repeat business.

The successful Electrical Project Manager will be located at a luxury residential project in The West End of London. The site consists of a large fit out, build value £32m. The successful Electrical Project Manager will be responsible for managing and administering specialist subcontractors, supervising, coordinating and planning the works on site, reviewing contractor design elements and ensuring that the project deliverables are achieved with regard to safety, quality, programme and cost. The Electrical Project Manager will liaise with and coordinate all works with the Specialist Tier 2 contractors and direct labour, taking the scheme to cold commissioning and handover.

The successful Electrical Project Manager will have an electrical bias, with an understanding of mechanical installation (not essential). Other pre requisites are:

• Main or sub contracting background
• Ideally worked on high end residential schemes.
• Strong management and communication skills
• Commercially and technically competent
• Strong appreciation for health and safety, procedures and programme.
• Comfortable with managing meetings and dealing with the client and their representatives.
