The Role:

As an Administrator, you will be at the heart of the business, acting as the first point of contact for customers while also playing a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the business. You will be responsible for a variety of administrative duties, ensuring the smooth coordination of engineers, managing stock and orders, and handling invoices.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Customer Interaction: Acting as the first point of contact for customers, handling enquiries, and delivering exceptional customer service via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Engineer Coordination: Scheduling and coordinating the work of AV/Smart Home engineers, ensuring appointments and installations are effectively managed.
  • Stock Management & Ordering: Monitoring stock levels, placing orders with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of equipment and materials required for projects.
  • Invoice & Finance Administration: Processing invoices, tracking payments, and ensuring accurate financial records are maintained.
  • Spreadsheet Management: Managing and updating spreadsheets, tracking orders, stock levels, customer enquiries, and other key business activities.
  • Office Organisation: Providing general administrative support to the team, ensuring the office operates smoothly and efficiently.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will need to be organised, efficient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You will be someone who enjoys multi-tasking and thrives on ensuring everything runs like clockwork.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in an Administrative role, ideally within an Engineering or Technology-related sector.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Confident in working with spreadsheets and managing data (Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets proficiency is essential).
  • Experience with stock management and invoicing processes.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Customer service experience, with the ability to build rapport and provide exceptional support.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Prior experience coordinating field engineers or technical staff would be advantageous, but not essential.
