We are working with a principal contractor within the infrastructure sector specialising in roads and highways.
They are one of the safest and most customer-focused organisations in the industry and they are looking for an experienced Senior Health & Safety Business Partner to join their team.
As the Senior Health & Safety Business Partner, you will play a key role in delivering the company’s Health & Safety agenda and implementing long-term strategies at critical and strategic sites.
Reporting to the Director of Health, Safety & Performance, you’ll provide technical expertise, leadership, and guidance across multiple functions, ensuring best practices and compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
This is primarily a Home-Based role with National Travel, with the majority of the sites being within the midlands. Within this role, you will have full autonomy of your diary, excluding meetings with stakeholders and internally which need to be attended at one of their offices across the country.

The Successful Senior Health and Safety Business Partner will be Responsible for:
- Drive continuous improvement for Health & Safety initiatives and programmes across the business.
- Lead technical support and strategy development for health and safety compliance across various departments and facilities.
- Ensure local compliance with legal and regulatory Health & Safety requirements.
- Provide support to operational units during external audits and high-profile site visits.
- Lead high-potential incident investigations and ensure effective communication of findings.
- Mentor colleagues and support the development and delivery of Health & Safety training.
- Maintain positive relationships with enforcement agencies, local communities, and stakeholders.
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate as a minimum ideally Level 6 Qualifications.
- Experience in the Highways, Civil Engineering, Utilities or Rail or Oil and Gas industries.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, challenge, and build collaborative relationships across the business.
- Salary up to £75,000
- Car Allowance of £7,000 or Company Car from a wide range of fleet vehicles
