About your role of Approved Mental Health Practitioner:
- Manage referrals, undertake assessments, and ensure that appropriate advice and information is given to clients and their carers.
- Work creatively with the person and their carers to implement support plans that meet their needs.
- Ensure a multi-agency approach is taken, to assess needs and manage risk and complexity.
- Ensure referral for financial assessment.
- Manage safeguarding concerns and identify the need for further enquiry.
About you as an Approved Mental Health Practitioner:
- Knowledge of Key legislative areas including:
- Mental Health Act 1983 (as amended 2007) Mental Capacity Act 2005
- Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards 2008
- Human Rights Act 1998
- Care Act 2014
- Experience of care act work such as hospital discharges essential
