Alexander Steele continue to partner with a multi site food business that supply a wide range of quality products to all UK retailers and food service. Due to increased product demand this establish business is looking to appoint a Quality Assurance Supervisor to their Technical & Quality function at their Hertfordshire site.

The role:

As Quality Assurance Supervisor you will play a key role in the implementation and maintenance of the sites QMS and Food Safety Systems plus supporting the technical function with leading the HACCP team, auditing, the investigation of customer complaints and deputising for the Quality Manager.

Key accountabilities;

• Development and maintenance of QMS and other food safety systems

• Lead sites HACCP team

• Under take internal and external audits

• Coordination of the hygiene team

• Reviewing and maintenance of internal product quality specs and due diligence

• Working cross collaboratively to ensure site standards are maintained at all times

• Undertake mass balance tests and traceability

• Investigation of customer complaints

• Staff training for all new and existing staff.

• Deputising for the Quality Manager as required.

Candidate requirements:

• 2-3 years experience working in a similar role within a chilled food environment.

• HACCP and Food Safety level 3+ required

• Previous leadership experience / skills would be an advantage

• Excellent organisational and communication skills
