A little about us

Established in 2014 and has been providing exceptional day care facilities to children between 2 years and 5 years of age. Your children will be safe in our facility under the care of fully qualified staff. We also have a large outdoor play area with canopy for children to play in all weathers. 

Staff have attended the following training: Promoting positive behaviour, working with two year olds, Math in early years, Every Child a Talker, First Phase Phonics in Early Years, Introduction to Yoga with Young Children, Why go outdoors, Speech and Language Development, Senco training and Senco network meetings to name a few.


Role and responsibilities include:
 

  • To support the day to day running of the setting
  • Manage and supervise children in the setting
  • To support colleagues and work as part of a team to provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment for all children (aged 2-5years)
  • Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning, development and independence
  • Cleaning and following procedures required to maintain a healthy environment
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with parent handovers and colleagues
  • To complete and keep up to date key children developmental records
  • To complete and keep up to date daily online care diary on Tapestry
  • To work as part of a team to ensure that Ofsted standards are followed at all times
  • Assist in the continuous improvement in childcare practices
  • Complying with Health and Safety at Work legislation
  • Attending ongoing training (in-house and courses) to support CPD

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
 

We would like practitioners to have previous experience of working in a nursery setting and a good understanding of the EYFS, with a minimum relevant Level 3 qualification.  Also:

  • A minimum of 1 to 2 years previous experience of working in a nursery setting.
  • Experience of working with the EYFS
  • IT proficient for writing reports/updating online journals
  • In-depth understanding of children’s development and their emotional, physical and intellectual needs
  • Physical fitness to lift and handle children and equipment
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional conduct

Qualifications (no health and social care only Level 3 in childcare)

- Level 3 qualified in childcare

- Leadership skills to guide and support children effectively

- Proficiency in English to communicate with parents and staff

- Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting essential

- Ability to manage and engage with children of various ages

Education:

GCSE or equivalent (required)

Experience:

Nursery: 1-2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

Driving Licence (preferred)

Paediatric First Aid Certification (preferred)

DBS (preferred)

Level 3 nursery practitioner or early years qualification (required)
