Clearfield Recruitment have partnered with a dynamic and growing construction company who pride themselves on delivering high-quality construction projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. With an expanding portfolio of exciting projects, they are looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor with experience of Supermarket projects to join the team.

Role Overview:

You will play a crucial role in managing all costs relating to construction projects, from initial estimates to final figures, primarily projects for the design, build, and fitout of Supermarkets. Your goal is to minimise expenses and ensure value for money, without compromising on quality. You’ll collaborate closely with our project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to deliver successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for projects.
• Manage contract procurement, negotiation, and finalisation.
• Track and control project costs to ensure profitability.
• Conduct risk and value management and cost control.
• Prepare and analyse costings for tenders.
• Assess and process contractor and supplier payments.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of financial performance.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely delivery within budget.

What We’re Looking For:

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, ideally within construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, contracts, and procurement methods.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Proficiency in cost management software and MS Office suite.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of local market and regulations is a plus.
