The Role:
We are currently recruiting for an Employment Specialist to provide intensive support to job seekers who are furthest from the labour market who face personal barriers such as long-term health conditions, disabilities, or lack of skills or financial difficulties.

Duties:

• You will assist job seekers, whether they are claiming benefits or not, but they will have the desire to gain new skills, improve their wellbeing or secure employment.
• You will meet your clients weekly, either at a centre or in the community, offering both face-to-face and telephone support through a comprehensive programme.
• You will connect customers with relevant courses and additional learning opportunities to help them move closer to the labour market.
• You will build rapport quickly, conduct diagnostics, and set SMART targets to ensure each customer progresses towards employment.

Required Skills:

• You will have strong communication skills, be approachable and confident in guiding customers to access the support available.
• You will have a passion for helping people, ideally you will have mentored/supported job seekers/learners to meet their future goals.
• You will be skilled in fact finding and ensuring customers progress on their journey including target setting.
• You will have excellent IT skills, including proficiency with all Office 365 applications.

Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to complete an online Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
