Senior Data Engineer (Data Testing Focus) - 1 Year Contract

I am currently recruiting for a Senior Data Engineer with a primary focus on Data Testing to join my clients dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in testing a large-scale data migration effort, ensuring data integrity and accuracy throughout the process. Key responsibilities include creating test plans, validating data mappings, data flows, ETLs, cleaning rules, and sync-back processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Testing: Lead efforts in testing data migration activities, including validating data mapping, monitoring data flows, ensuring proper execution of ETLs, applying cleaning rules, managing sync-back processes, and developing thorough test plans.
• ETL Validation: Guarantee the precision and dependability of ETL/ELT workflows utilizing tools like Informatica, SSIS etc
• Data Integrity: Ensure post-migration data integrity by identifying inconsistencies, analyzing discrepancies, and providing actionable solutions.
• Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline data integration processes, ensuring efficient and data-driven decision-making.
• Test Plan Development: Create, document, and implement detailed test plans to oversee the migration and transformation of data across systems.

Technical Skills:

• 5+ years of SQL experience.
• 5+ years working with ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, SSIS, etc.).
• Proficient with BI tools (SSRS, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.).
• Preferred experience with R and Python.
• Familiarity with MPP databases and Snowflake is a plus.
• AWS experience is a plus.
