Responsibilities
- To lead activities in production-, quality- and manufacturing engineering
- Ensuring a consistent/detailed approach using Root Cause Analysis and Problem-Solving Tools such as 8D or 5Whys
- Improving quality in line with customer expectations, industry standards and company objectives
- Applying methods for cost efficient manufacturing
Essential skills and experience
- A track record of completing projects on time and good quality in a complex environment
- A track record of can-do taking ownership for outcomes beyond immediate disciplinary control
- Structured and organized approach to work and problem solving
- Five years’ experience working in similar manufacturing environments and possess a good understanding of using Quality and Process management tools and methodologies
- Use of quality methods and tools
- Profound understanding of operations in machining, tooling, welding, assembly and finishing
- Must have good communication skills (both up and down stream and external contacts) and able to train others, facilitate quality events and meeting including cross functional teams
- Keen to drive improvements and capable of thinking outside of the box
- Degree in Engineering: preferably mechanical engineering
