We are currently looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join an established contractor, based in Letchworth Garden City, working on fit-out / refurbishment projects, mainly in the retail sector based across the UK. The Contracts Manager will be responsible for coordinating a range of works across multiple sites-based form head office with site visits across the UK whilst reporting back to the Associate Director.

It is envisaged that the successful Contracts Manager will have a retail / fit-out background, will be based within commuting distance of Letchworth and happy to travel for work.

Our client is looking for someone to start ASAP.

• Ensure that processes are in place to allow department operatives to efficiently perform their individual duties to a satisfactory standard.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and business partners, ensuring effective communication.
• Ensure all tender enquiries are handled promptly, and deadlines are consistently met.
• Manage and deliver client expectations carefully, ensuring their satisfaction.
• Regularly gather feedback from clients and take appropriate action to address any concerns raised.
• Oversee operations and workforce management on assigned projects, including the selection and coordination of subcontractors.
• Ensure quality control and compliance with company standards, as well as industry policies and best practices.
• Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, including adherence to current legislation.
• Hold regular review meetings with the shopfitting and building services department.

• Prior experience in a similar role is essential
• Must have a knowledge of retail / fit-out works
• Local to Letchworth, Garden city and willing to travel
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• SSSTS / SMSTS
• UK driving license
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team
• Strong IT skills

• Salary: £50k - £75k (DOE)
