Polishing Technician

A specialist in cutting edge optical sensors, is now seeking an additional Polishing Technician to join their Oxfordshire based facility.
Working on a range of mechanical fabrication processes including precision lapping, polishing and operating the high temperature bonding equipment.
To succeed in this role, you should have good hand eye coordination, good manual dexterity and an aptitude for meticulous precision work.
You should be comfortable using inspection cameras, microscopes and various metrology equipment to qualify product conformance to drawing specifications.
On a daily basis you will be lapping and polishing small pieces to fine tolerances and finishes, and inspecting the finished work to qualify product conformance.
Experience and Qualifications:
With previous expereince in precision mechanical fabrication, using microscopes and tweezers, you should be able to read mechanical drawings and follow defined processes.
Experience within a cleanroom environment would also be advantageous.
Additional Information:
Candidates MUST be eligible to live and work in the UK. Copies of Passport and Visa will be requested for verification.
