Cloud Platform Engineer - £450-£500 per day - Outside IR35 - 3 Months initial contract - Remote.

Our client, a global nuclear engineering organisation, is seeking a skilled Cloud Platform Engineer to support the delivery of cloud hosting capabilities by developing and maintaining automation pipelines, scripts, and other artefacts essential to both project delivery and platform evolution. You will play a key role in enhancing cloud environments through automation and collaboration with architects and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines and Bicep templates using Visual Studio Code to support cloud component deployment.
  • Collaborate closely with Cloud Architects and key stakeholders to validate, deploy, and test relevant artefacts.
  • Ensure all code meets defined standards and is aligned with project requirements.
  • Automate Azure resources using Bicep templates and PowerShell scripting as needed for Azure projects.
  • Enhance the overall cloud platform by continuously improving and ensuring the reuse of automation pipelines.
  • Maintain structured, segmented, and secure Azure DevOps pipelines, enabling efficient code reusability and scalability.
  • Provide technical support for cloud hosting, ensuring the highest levels of availability, security, and performance.

  • Successful deployment of cloud components using pipelines and automation scripts.
  • Contribution to platform evolution with a focus on Azure DevOps and automation.
  • High-quality artefacts delivered in accordance with coding standards and build specifications.


Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working with Azure DevOps, particularly in automation and pipeline creation.
  • Strong understanding of Azure Cloud services and infrastructure.
  • Expertise in scripting languages like Bicep and PowerShell for automating Azure resources.
  • Hands-on experience with automation, code verification, and error handling in cloud environments.
  • Ability to structure, segment, and secure access in Azure DevOps pipelines.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.


Desirable:

  • Experience in developing reusable, scalable automation pipelines.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices and version control systems like Git.
