We are seeking an experienced Functional Skills Maths and English Tutor to join our Adult Education team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching to adult learners across various levels.

Teaching Schedule:

• Monday 09:15 – 12:15
  • Adult Functional Skills Maths (Entry Level – Level 1 mixed group)
• Wednesday 09:15 – 12:15
  • Adult Functional Skills English (Entry Level – Level 1 mixed group)
• Thursday 09:30 – 12:30
  • Adult Functional Skills Maths (Online)
• Thursday 12:30 – 15:30
  • Adult Functional Skills English (Online)

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging Maths and English lessons to adult learners at Entry Level to Level 2.
• Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of learners.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and achievement.
• Collaborate with the education team to enhance the curriculum.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Essential: Proven experience delivering Functional Skills Maths.
• Desirable: Experience teaching Functional Skills English.
• Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire adult learners.
