The Basics:

Role: Manual Machinist

Position: Permanent

Location: Nottingham

Shifts available:

2 weeks of days followed by 2 weeks of nights rotating OR

Perm Days: Mon-Thurs 8.5hrs and Fridays 5.5hrs (start times flexible between 6am and 7:30am)

Perm Nights: Mon-Wed x3 10hr shifts and Thursdays 7.5hr sjift (Mon-Thurs only) start times flexible between 4pm and 6pm.

Rates: Days = £16.39 and Nights = £21.97 per hour

Contracted hours per week: 37.5hrs

Overtime: Anything over 37.5hrs Paid at 1.5 Mon-Sat and double on Sundays

Overview:

We now require a Manual Machinist to join the toolroom. The tool room consists of milling, turning, surface grinding and EDM.

The ideal candidate / Manual Machinist may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

  • Time Served Apprenticeship - beneficial
  • Competent at reading engineering drawings
  • Previous experience in manual machining - milling, turning, grinding for example

Commutable from: Nottingham, Ilkeston, Derby, Hucknall, Mansfield and surrounding areas
