Quality Manager Required!

Our client is a leading manufacturer of metal castings, producing high quality aluminium alloy castings, gravity & aluminium die castings.

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Manager with foundry experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ISO9001:2015 requirements, foundry operations, auditing experience, and robust problem-solving skills.

Package:

  • Monday - Thursday 5:30am - 3pm.
  • Overtime available (Friday & Saturday)
  • Company pension
  • 20 days holiday + bank holidays

Quality Manager - Main Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain quality control processes for castings, ensuring they meet the required standards.
  • Conduct material analysis, including chemical composition, tensile strength, and hardness tests.
  • Oversee and perform process audits, ensuring compliance with ISO9001:2015 and other relevant standards.
  • Manage and lead internal and external corrective action teams to address and resolve quality issues.
  • Ensure calibration of equipment is performed and documented accurately.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of data related to quality control and audits.
  • Collaborate with customers and suppliers to address quality concerns, ensuring clear communication and resolution.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure that materials meet quality specifications before use in production.
  • Identify areas for improvement in quality policies and procedures and lead initiatives to implement changes.

Quality Manager - Requirements:

  • Must have experience & in-depth knowledge of the aluminium foundry industry
  • Ability to read technical drawings
  • Strong understanding of ISO9001:2015 standards and experience with auditing processes.
  • Proficiency in material analysis techniques (chemical, tensile, hardness, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in leading corrective action teams.
  • Experience in process audits, calibration, and data recording.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with customers and suppliers.
