CNC Machinist Required!

Our client is a global, market leader in the design, development and manufacturing of drinks dispensing products.

On behalf of our client, we are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Machinist. The successful candidate will program, set up, and execute machining tasks on various CNC machines, including Hurco and Fanuc. Proficiency in manual machining techniques is also essential.

This is a full-time position, working hours are Monday-Thursday 8am-4:30pm and Friday 8am-1pm based on their site in Chorley.

Package:

• Rate of pay - £17ph - £19ph

CNC Machinist - Responsibilities:

• Programming and set up CNC to complete new product/different functions
• Change the tooling of the CNC machine
• Observe machine operation to verify accuracy of machine settings and to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, using precision measuring instruments such as Micrometer and vernier calliper.
• Adjust machine control, including part process
• Verify "first piece inspection" using appropriate measuring instruments
• Generally, monitor the work being undertaken and completed, testing and taking agreed critical measurements to identify problems and the need for adjustment etc and to immediately make any adjustments as necessary.
• Varied manual machining and finishing tasks on range of components

CNC Machinist - Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment (3 years)
• CNC Experience - turning experience is required, milling experience is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive team player
